Womb wellness treatment (90 minutes) perineal steaming and/or womb massage.

Perineal steaming is also called pelvic steaming and yoni steaming.  Yoni is a Hindu concept that is used to describe physical structures the vulva, vagina & womb combined with the energetic and spiritual notions that these structures form centre of sacred feminine wisdom.

A perineal or yoni steam is the ancient practice of sitting or squatting over a steaming pot of water infused with healing herbs. It is important to have the dose of the infusion correct, and the heat of the steam regulated.

Perineal steaming can help to regulate menstrual cycles, reduce menstrual pain, alleviate endometriosis and adenomyosis symptoms, help with PCOS and fibroids, nourish fertility and reproductive health, release premenstrual tension, and support the endocrine system through perimenopausal and menopausal changes.

Perineal steaming is not recommended during pregnancy or if there is a possibility of pregnancy, when you are bleeding, if you have an IUD in situ or if you have a vaginal infection or sores on your vulva.

Here in clinic I have a specialist yoni steam chair so you will be comfortable throughout this practice, you are fully draped and can be left in privacy with an audio journey or guided in person. I also teach you how to practice perineal steaming at home and provide herbal infusions.

Ideally a perineal steam will form part of a 90-minute womb wellness treatment incorporating focused womb massage. Womb massage is a fusion of deep sacral, abdomen and womb massage techniques aiming to address hormonal, reproductive and stress related conditions including stored pelvic trauma.

This is a non-invasive external massage which helps to release tension found in twisted and contorted connective tissue of the abdomen and lower back, thereby aiding to clear blockages, bloating, toxic build-up, water and waste retention. This improves the flow of blood and oxygen to all the pelvic tissues.

Massage encourages internal abdominal and pelvic organs to re-align relieving a variety of organ displacement symptoms. The symptoms of a displaced uterus can be many such as fibroids, fertility challenges, lower back pain, endometriosis, painful and irregular periods etc. Colon displacement can cause IBS and many digestive issues.

In your initial treatment (90 mins) we choose one of these practices. In subsequent treatments we can incorporate both.
