CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, light touch hands-on therapy.

CST supports your bodys’ innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself as well as helping to reduce stress and build underlying energy. It is suitable for everyone: newborn babies, pregnant women, athletes, those with injuries or with fragile and aging bodies.

The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord as well as the attached bones. These membranes extend from the bones of the skull, face and mouth down the spine to the sacrum and coccyx area.

During a typical session the practitioner will use a number of gentle hand contacts to the head, the base of the spine and other areas, allowing the client to lie still and relax. The light placement of the hands during a treatment allows the practitioner to ‘listen’ to your body in a similar way that a counsellor might listen to your words. Via this listening process you may experience significant physical unwinding, trauma release, emotion witnessing, personal insights and changes to your vitality.

Women often come during pregnancy and as mothers with their babies for problems associated with difficult or traumatic birth. Letting go of tension and fear held in the body enables both mother and baby to settle into calmness.

I am studying Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. I have attained Craniosacral Therapy level 2 and Somato Emotional Release Level 1. I am fully insured to offer full body treatments, including mouth work. I will be continuing my training over the next few years and I am able to provide two non-feepaying case study slots per week, as I develop my experience of this modality. I am scheduled to take Somato Emotional Release courses 2 during 2020.

I have been fortunate to benefit directly from CranioSacral therapy for myself. I took part in the Upledger five-day multi-hand treatment intensive programme in June 2019 so I have direct personal experience of just how incredible and transformational this modality can be.

After treatment my leg was a lot better

‘I couldn’t move my right foot off or along the floor when sitting without moving my leg with my hand. My feet and legs are very swollen at the moment. After Natasha’s very gentle craniosacral movements I felt my vertebrae move into line (Natasha felt and saw it). I could then move my legs slightly without assistance. After another treatment my leg was a lot better. For months my right leg especially has not felt as if it was completely under my control. Thank you so much Natasha – I really appreciate what you do for me.’

Really helping me to move through my pain

‘I have felt completely held, supported and listened to throughout cranial sacral therapy. I have been working through a lot of childhood trauma with my psychotherapist for years. This trauma has sat lodged in my body, causing pain and frustration. Craniosacral therapy is really helping me to move through this pain and feel better in myself and all that I do.’
